Healing Farm Ministries is the programming division of Healing Farms. It is founded on 1 Corinthians 12:21-22 (NIV) that reads, "The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I don't need you!' And the head cannot say to the feet, 'I don't need you!' On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable." Everyone has a place and a purpose -- whether in daily work or in long term residential settings.
Healing Farm Ministries' day programming will be offered on our fully accessible community farming campuses. With over ten years of programming experience, we have seen firsthand how a "family farm" environment can offer a sense of place and purpose for even the most dependent.
Participants will be encouraged to experience work and community to the best of their ability. Staff and volunteers will help participants to fully engage in daily activities on the farm such as gardening, workshop projects, facilities upkeep and repair, welcoming guests, even working in our general store and café. There will also be quiet times set aside for privacy and processing.
